My name is Christina Rivas. I am a child of God. In the end, it will not matter how much money I made, how many children I had, what I did for a living, or in how many ministries I served. What matters most in life is how I live each day for God.

I am currently a Navy wife and mom to my rainbow baby who is now an active toddler. I have three children in heaven–one who was recently stillborn. I look forward to meeting my other children in heaven one day. I am originally from San Diego, CA but I’ve had the privilege of traveling to other parts of the country. My husband has been in the military for 16 years and counting as a hospital corpsman. I enjoy landscape photography, writing, card making, swimming, biking, hiking, traveling, and exploring the Great Outdoors in my spare time.

Amen and amen.. by His grace and mercy and with His strength and power. We shall make it with the infilling of His Holy Spirit in our lives and based on the Living Word of God. It is a daily commitment which we must choose to live for Him each day.
If we are faithful in the little things, He shall bless us with the big things that glorify Him.

Thank you for following me. I loved your last post about trials. We remember our struggles, our overcommings the most of all. They are like steps in a the ladder of growth. milt

  8. You are welcome. Thanks for all of your prayers and support. Trials are hard to go through, but the outcome is worth it! I’m coming out of a trial right now. Only a few more days until my husband comes back after 11 weeks, doc should clear me today or tomorrow of this life-threatnening pregnancy, and next week the movers come to move our stuff up to Erie, PA. It’s been a difficult last few months, but God is so amazing. He reminds me everyday that he is always here. 🙂

Hello. I love your site. My name is Greg Smalley and I run the marriage division at Focus on the Family in Colorado Springs. I’m writing a new book on conflict and marriage. I found a description of a “hard heart” on your site that I would really like to use for my book. Here is the quote that I would like to use from your site:
“A hardened heart keeps pace with the world more than it does with Jesus. It doesn’t seek out or listen to Godly counsel or wisdom from the Bible. It stops rhythmically communicating with God and seals off the work of the Holy Spirit. It loses faith in God’s abilities to bless us and work miracles. It is selfish and sows bitterness, anger, resentment jealously, malice, discontent and other evils. It causes more harm than good. It calls evil good and good evil and justifies evil actions. It silences the conscience and suppresses truth. It does not desire forgiveness, healing, faith and hope in God. It substitutes pleasure for righteousness. A hardened heart, without treatment, could fall away from God entirely and be left spiritually corrupted and bankrupt, deprived of spiritual nutrients and every good and amazing thing God had planned for it

If you are willing to give me permission to use this quote, how would you want to give you credit within the book?

Thanks again for a great site and for considering my request.

    Greg Smalley
